The second day of action at the Lone Star Arena Cowboy Capital Classic NRHA event saw a record number of horses through the gate on the fourth day competition. Many top horses and riders were on hand to participate.

“A lot of us will use the timing of this show to feel where we are, to gauge how far along we are for the next big show,” explained Casey Hinton, Whitesboro, Texas. This year’s turn out leaves no doubt as to the truth of that statement.

Aubrey, Texas teenager Jordan Donnelly dominated the Non Pro Division today securing both first and second places on her self-owned horses. Hollywood All Star (Hollywood Dun It x Judy Elderberry) slid to first with a score of 145.5 earning top dollar in the $1,000 added purse division and the Morrison Trophy. Donnelly’s gelding Chexable (Inwhizable x Megarita Chex) collected second place honors with a score of 143.5.

Swedish-born Isabell Silverstolpe topped the $500 added Intermediate Non Pro Division of 15 entries winning first and a Pewter trophy on Rose Colored Gunner (Gunner x Alicia Rose) with a score of 144. Second place saw a four-way tie on 143.0 points between Diane Witkin aboard Chic To Please, owned by Deborah Thompson; Shot Gun Whiz ridden by Katrina Tara Kaiser and co-owned with Pam Kaiser; Sarah Shafer riding the Arrow Acres LLC horse BH Whizin Ona Melody; and Tracy Higginbottom riding her self-owned horse Starbucks Sassy Sara.

JD Whizkey (Topsail Whiz x JD Milligan) maneuvered through Pattern 9 to top the Limited Non Pro Division with a 146, taking home the $350 added purse and Pewter trophy. The gelding is owned by Rebecca Borders of Wichita Falls, Texas, and ridden by Elizabeth Borders. Rose Colored Gunner and Isabell Silverstolpe’s 144 run ranked them second in this division.

First and second places were split on a score of 141 in the Prime Time Non-Pro Division between Boerne, Texas reiner Dwaine Rivers on BR Sheza Cameo Jac (Master Cowboy Jac x Sheza Dun Dry) owned by 4R Performance Horses, and Quantum Quanah (Quanah O Lena x Gunsmoke Queen) owned and ridden by Sherry Wilson of McGregor, Texas.

In Novice Horse Non-Pro Level 1 action, Jim Hendricks rode Gangsters Bullet to the 141.5 points, $500 added and Pewter trophy win. The Gangster Chic by Little Bueno Doll gelding is owned by Terri and Dell Hendricks of Tioga, Texas. Dee Dee Boeckman from Kingfisher, OK rode her self-owned gelding Peppy San Whiz (Topsail Whiz x San Sweet Yucca) for 141.0 points and second place.

Jordan Donnelly’s 143.5 ride on Chexable garnered top spot in the Novice Horse Non-Pro Level 2 for the $500 added and Pewter trophy division. Quantum Quanah’s score of 143 placed Sherry Wilson second on her gelding.

Novice Horse Open Division Levels 1 and 2 were topped by Jared Leclair, Pilot Point, TX, and Custom Cody Crome (Custom Crome x Cody Lou Fifty), owned by Steven Simon of Marietta, Okla., with a score of 146. Tioga, Texas’ Marco Ricotta scored 145.5 aboard My Hollywood Girl (Hollywood Dun It x Miss Tinseltown) owned by David Silva, Sr. of Tolland, Conn., for second place in both divisions.

There were 20 entries in the Level 1 Division where the money was jackpotted. Seven entries made up the Level 2 Division where riders competed for $500 added and a Pewter trophy.
